Jim "Jimmysax" Seitz
|I've been kicking around town with all sorts of bands since I was fifteen. I've played just about every kind of music you could think of: Swing, Country, Avant Garde Jazz, R & B, Oldies, Broadway Shows, Rock n Roll, Smooth Jazz and Classical Chamber Music too. But out of all my experience, I am happiest layin' down some Funk in The Kitch'n. When you come and see us, you'll know why ;-)
My influences include great sax players you should know like David Sanborn, Michael Brecker, Cannonball Adderley, Stanley Turrentine, Lenny Picket, Maceo Parker, Illinois Jacquet and other great honkers and wailers that you've probably never heard of.
I love my other job too. I teach private Flute, Clarinet, and Sax lessons at Music Royale in Powell. I always tell my students, "It doesn't matter what you play, if you don't have a great sound nobody will listen."
It's all about the Tone, baby. Gimme' just one note, and I gotcha!
